Question 647315: http://m1146.photobucket.com/albumview/albums/pigrabbit_8/dfe0330c.jpg.html?o=0&newest=1
Please help with number 88. I'm confused on how I should deal with the negative exponent. I know I have to switch it and put a 1 over but then the whole problem just became very, very confusing. I got 20x and I think the answer is wrong. Don't ask me how I got that, I probably skipped an important step or did something wrong. Thank you for your help.

Hi,
5%5E%28-1%2F2%29%2A5x%5E%285%2F2%29%2F%285x%29%5E%283%2F2%29
5x%5E%285%2F2%29%2F%285%5E%281%2F2%29%2A5%5E%283%2F2%29x%5E%283%2F2%29%29⇒ Note:5^(1/2)*5^(3/2) = 5^(1/2+3/2) & x^5/2/x^3/2 = x^(5/2-3/2)
5x%2F%285%5E2%29=+x%2F5
