You can put this solution on YOUR website!
How do I write an equation that models how old in years a 43, 55, and 15
year old will be, when our ages add up to 150 years old.
:
Let y = no. yrs for this to be true
:
Each will age y yrs, therefore
(y+43) + (y+55) + (y+15) = 150
3y + 113 = 150
3y = 150 - 113
3y = 37
y = 37/3
y = 121%2F3 yrs
:
Add 121%2F3 to each ones age
551%2F3 + 671%2F3 + 271%2F3 = 150
