Question 645651: area of a rectangle is 36 square inches and the length of the sides are intergers. Find the minimum perimeter of such a rectangle Answer by solver91311(24713) (Show Source):
The maximum area of a rectangle for a given perimeter is when the rectangle is a square that measures the perimeter divided by 4 on each side. From which it follows that the minimum perimeter for a given area is also when the rectangle is a square with sides measuring the square root of the area.
