Question 645294: I would like your assistance in solving a problem. I know for sure that the value of x is a fraction.
The problem is:
3(-x+2)=5(x-3)
So far I have tried this:
3(-x+2)=5(x-3)
(-3x+6)=(5x-15)
+3x +3x
6=8x-15
+15 +15
21= 8x

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You're doing great. To finish up, divide both sides by 8 to completely isolate x.

21+=+8x

21%2F8+=+8x%2F8

21%2F8+=+x

x+=+21%2F8

So the solution is x+=+21%2F8
