You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let x=length
x-5=width
Get the formula for the perimeter of rectangle
2L+2W=P
Substitute the x, x-5 and the given perimeter=112ft to the formula
2(x)+2(x-5)=112
2x+2x-10=112
4x=122
x=30.5
to get width:
x-5
(30.5)-5
=25.5
Length=30.5ft
Width=25.5ft
Check the answer:
2L+2W=p
2(30.5)+2(25.5)=112
61+51=112
112=112
