Question 643886: how do you solve 2+(-5) using a numberline?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Start at x=2.
Adding a positive number moves you forward (more positive).
Adding a negative number moves you backwards (less positive).
If you add (-1), you move backwards 1 spot and you'd be at x=1.
Now where would you end up, if you add (-5)?
