2%5Ex=50 take the log or ln of both sides of the equation.
ln%282%5Ex%29=ln%2850%29
xln%282%29=ln%2850%29
xln%282%29%2F%28ln%282%29%29=ln%2850%29%2F%28ln%282%29%29
x=ln%2850%29%2F%28ln%282%29%29 Plug this into your calculator and you get:
x=5.64385619
