To solve this equation you would first want to multiply both sides of the equation by 5 to get x%2B78%2B85%2B97%2B92=450.
You would now add the 4 numbers together to get x%2B352=450
Subtract 352 from both sides: x=98
Therefore the score on the fifth test must be 98 in order to have an average of 90 on the five exams
