You can put this solution on YOUR website!
How many gallons of a 35% saline solution must be mixed with 6 gallons of a 15% saline solution to make a 23% solution?
--------
Equation:
salt + salt = salt
0.35x + 0.15*6 = 0.23(x+6)
-------
35x + 15*6 = 23x + 23*6
12x = 8*6
x = (2/3)6
x = 4 gallons (amt. of 35% solution needed)
