You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Origional problem: Cut a pipe that is 72 cm long into two pieces with one being 5 times longer than the other. What is the measurement of each piece?

Solution: 12 x 5 = 60

60 + 12 = 72

I used my famous guess and check system to solve this one. I simply solved the whole problem trying several different numbers until I found the one that fit. It took me a few tries on a calculator to figure it out. You take 12 times 5 to get 60 and then you add the origional 12 back on to get your answer of 72. I hope this helped. Good luck and best wishes.
