You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Find the zeros of the following functions.
f(x) = 4x^3-4x^2-7x-2
---------------
x=2 is a zero.
Use synthetic division to find the quotient:
2)...4.....-4.....-7.....-2
.....4......4......1...|..0
Quotient: 4x^2+4x+1
Remainder: zero
Find the zeroes of the quotient:
x=[-4+-sqrt(16-4*-4*1]/8
x=[-4+-sqrt(32)]/8
x=[-4+-4sqrt2]/8
x=[-1+-sqrt2]/2
