You can put this solution on YOUR website!
When you have a fraction on both sides of an equal sign, and those fractions contain letters, to solve, just cross multiply:
x%2F%28x-2%29+=+4%2F5 =
%28x-2%29%2A4+=+5x
Use the distributive property to multiply the 4 by what's in the parenthesis on the left side of the equation:
4%2Ax-4%2A2 = 4x-8
So, now you have
4x-8+=+5x
We need to get the x by itself, so first we will subtract 4x from both sides, which gives us:
-8+=+5x+-+4x
This gives us our final answer: x+=+-8
