.50x+1.75x=900
2.25x=9.00
x=9.00/2.25
x=4 is the multiplier.
5*4=20 number of dimes.
7*4=28 number of quarters.
PROOF:
20*.10+28*.25=9.00
2.00+7.00=9.00
9.00=9.00
