Question 63742: Please help me solve this problem:
Graph the polynomial function, showing x and y intercepts, and end behavior of the function
f(x)=(x-2)(x+4)^2 Answer by sarahschober(35) (Show Source):
It will cross the x axis for odd multiplicities and touch for even.
Example: (x-2) is odd because even though it is not shown it is raised to the power of one which is odd and is even because it is raised to an even power.
To find the y intercept substitute 0 for x.
