You can put this solution on YOUR website!
X-2Y=-7
-2Y=-X-7
Y=X/2+3.5 THIS SHOWS A SLOPE OF 1/2 OR .5 AND A Y INTERCEPT OF 3.5
NOW SUBSTITUTE (-3,-3) IN THE LINE EQUATION WITH A SLOPE OF .5 & WE GET THE Y INTERCEPT OF THIS PARALLEL LINE.
-3=-3*.5+b
-3=-1.5+b
b=-1.5 THEN THE EQUATION FOR THIS LINE IS
Y=.5X-1.5
