You can put this solution on YOUR website! Find the value of x or y so that the line passing through the two points has the given Slope! PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS STEP BY STEP, I SUCK AT MATH
 Problem: ( -3 , y ), ( -9 , -2 ); m = 1
 also ( 7 , 5 ), ( x , 2 ); m =

First of all, stop typing in caps. It's the equivalent of shouting!!

 Slope form:
Since slope = 1, then we can say that:
   Now, substituting coordinates, (- 3, y) and (- 9, - 2), we get:

   - 2 – y = - 6 ----- Cross-multiplying
 - y = - 6 + 2
 - y = - 4
 y =
  , or
You can apply the same concept when doing the 2nd problem.
