You can put this solution on YOUR website! One high-speed jet travels 100 miles per hour faster than another. When one plane travels 2000 miles, the other travels 1500 miles.
let x= speed of slower plane
x+100=speed of faster plane
Travel time=distance/speed ( same for both planes)
2000/(x+100)=1500/x
2000x=1500x+150000
500x=150000
5x=1500
x=300
x+100=400
speed of slower plane=300 mph
speed of faster plane=400 mph
