You can put this solution on YOUR website! ANSWER:
Write as a single logarithm: log 12 + log (x-2) - log 2.
I thought that I might have to turn it into exponetial form first but Im not sure.
ANSWER:
LAWS OF LOGARITHM:
logA + logB = log AB
log A - log B = log (A/B)
So, log 12 + log (x-2) = log {12 * (x-2)}
= log {12(x-2)}
so, log 12 + log (x-2) - log 2 = log {12(x-2)} - log 2
= log {12(x-2)/2}
= log {6(x-2)}
= log {6x- 12}
Hope you understood.
