Question 63578: Could someone please help?
Use synthetic division and the Remainder Theorem to find P(6)if P(x)=2x^4-15x^3-4x+3
Use the synthetic division to determine if x-3 is a factor of 3x^4-3x^3-18x^2+2x-6.
List all of the potential rational zeros of the polynominal function P(x)=4x^3-3x^2+5x-6. Do not attempt to find the zeros.
Use synthetic division to factor P(x)=10x^3+7x^2-29x-6, and write P(x) as a product of linear factors.
Thank you!!!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Use synthetic division and the Remainder Theorem to find P(6)if P(x)=2x^4-15x^3-4x+3
6)....2.....15.....-4.....3
......2.....27....158.|..951
P(6)=951
------------------------
Use the synthetic division to determine if x-3 is a factor of 3x^4-3x^3-18x^2+2x-6.
3).....3....-3....-18....2....-6
.......3.....6......0....2.....0
Yes, x-3 is a factor.
---------------
List all of the potential rational zeros of the polynominal function P(x)=4x^3-3x^2+5x-6. Do not attempt to find the zeros.
The rationals are p/q where:
p is a factor of 6 and q is a factor of 4:
p=+-1,+-2,+-3,+-6
q=+-1,+-2,+-4
Then p/q= (+-1),(+-2),(+-3),(+-6),(+-1/2),(+-3/2).(+-1/4),(+-3/4)
---------------
Use synthetic division to factor P(x)=10x^3+7x^2-29x-6, and write P(x) as a product of linear factors.
Zeroes are x=-2,x=-1/5, x=3/2
P(x)=(x+2)(5x+1)(2x-3)
