If it's a square deck, then Length = Width and Length = sqrt%2827.75%29%2F2

Note: 27 ft 9 in = 27.75 ft

If it's a rectangular deck (most likely the case), then L%5E2%2BW%5E2+=+27.75%5E2 and that's as far as you can go here because we don't know anything more about the relationship between the length L and the width W.
