You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Solve for y when x = 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
2y = 3x - 8 Replace the x with 1.
2y = 3(1) - 8
2y = 3 - 8
2y = -5 Divide both sides by 2.
y = -5/2
2y = 3x - 8 Replace the x with 2.
2y = 3(2) - 8
2y = 6 - 8
2y = -2 Divide both sides by 2.
y = -1
2y = 3x - 8 Replace the x with 3.
2y = 3(3) - 8
2y = 9 - 8
2y = 1 Divide both sides by 2.
y = 1/2
Do you see how it's done?
