Question 634870: 1) Prove that if 3/5 x =-9, then x=-15.
2) Prove that if 3x-2=x-8, then x=-3.
3) Prove that if 2(x-3)=8, then x=7.
4) Prove that if 3x-4=1/2 x +6, then x=4.
5) If x=y+3 and y+3=10, then x=10.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1) Prove that if 3/5 x =-9, then x=-15.
You can solve the eqn for x, or sub -15 for x.
(3/5)*-15 = -9
-9 = -9
----------------
Do the others the same way.
2) Prove that if 3x-2=x-8, then x=-3.
3) Prove that if 2(x-3)=8, then x=7.
4) Prove that if 3x-4=1/2 x +6, then x=4.
5) If x=y+3 and y+3=10, then x=10.
