You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The probability that a man will live 10 more years is 1/4, and the probability that his wife will live more years is 1/3. Find the probability that
a. both will be alive in ten years;:: (1/4)(1/3) = 1/12
--------
b. at least one will be alive in 10 years;:: 1 - (3/4)(2/3) = 1/2
-----------
c. neither will be alive in 10 years;::: (3/4)(2/3) = 1/2
-----------
d. only the wife will be alive in 10 years;:: (3/4)(1/3) = 1/4
