A cube has a surface area of 294cm2 (294cm squared). What are the formulas to find both dimension and volume? Thank you!
SURFACE AREA OF CUBE = A = 6*S^2.......WHERE S= SIDE OF THE CUBE
VOLUME OF CUBE = V = S^3
6S^2=294 SQ.CM.
S^2=294/6 = 49 = 7*7
S=7
V = 7^3 = 343 CU.CM.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The surface area of a cube is found by multiplying the area of one side by 6 (A cube has six faces)
The area of one face must therefore be = Surface area / 6
= 294 / 6
= 49 square cm
Area of a square = length x length
ie length = square root(area of square)
= Square root(49)
=7 cm
Volume of a cube = (length x length x length)
= 7 x 7 x 7
= 343 cubic cm
