first we expand the second equation and we obtain x%5E2%2By%5E2-4y%2B4=1 and by substituting the first equation we get 9-4y%2B4=1 then 13-4y=1 then -4y=-12 so y=3 then we substitute in the first equation and we get x%5E2%2B9=9 so x=0
