Hi,
Using the standard slope-intercept form for an equation of a line y = mx + b
where m is the slope and b the y-intercept.
8x + 9y = 73 OR y+=+%28-8%2F9%29x+%2B+73%2F9+
m = -8/9 and b = 73/9

I think the most useful form of straight-line equations is the "slope-intercept" form:
y+=+mx+%2B+b...This is called the slope-intercept form because "m" is the slope and "b" gives the y-intercept.
9y+=+-8x%2B73
9y+=+-%288%2F9%29x%2B73

so, you will have:
the slope m=-%288%2F9%29
and y=73 for x=0....so, the y-intercept point is (0,73)
