Let x and y represent the cost of a chair and a table respectively

  3x +  y = 900

  5x + 3y = 2100   |Multiplying the 1st Eq by 3 and subtracting from 2nd EQ

      -4x = -600

         x = 150, chair cost.  Table Cost is  rs. 450
