The line of symmetry is x+=+h and the maximum or minimum value is k.
Therefore, in f%28x%29+=+-%28x%2B1%29%5E2-9, the vertex is (-1,-9).
The line of symmetry is highlight%28x+=+-1%29 and the maximum value is highlight%28-9%29.
