You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Nickels=x
Dimes=29-x
Total value of all coins= $2.40
(Nickels)(Value of a Nickel)+(Dimes)(Value of a Dime)=Total value of all coins
(x)(0.05)+(29-x)(0.1)=2.40
0.05x+2.9-0.1x=2.40
0.05x-0.1x=2.40-2.9
-0.05x=-0.5
-0.05x/-0.05=-0.5/-0.05
x=10

Nickels=x=10
Dimes=29-x=29-10=19

Check
=====
10*0.05+19*0.1=2.4
0.5+1.9=2.4
2.4=2.4
