You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let the losing candidate receive x votes.
Then the winning candidate receives = x + 220
Total votes cast = 810
==> x + x + 220 = 810
==> 2x + 220 = 810
==> 2x + 220 - 220 = 810 - 220
==> 2x = 590
==> 2x/2 = 590/2
==> x = 295
The loser had 295 votes and the winner had = 295 + 220 = 515 votes.
Good Luck!!!
