You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let
Half-dollar = x
Quarters=x+19
Value of a Quarter = $0.25
Value of a Half-dollar = $0.50
Total value of all coins = $23.50
(Value of a Quarter)(Quarters)+(Value of a Half-dollar)(Half-dollar)= Total value of all coins

(0.25)(x+19)+(0.5)(x)= 23.50
0.25x+4.75+0.5x=23.50
0.75x=23.50-4.75
0.75x=18.75
0.75x/0.75=18.75/0.75
x=25

Half-dollar = x = 25
Quarters=x+19 = 25+19=44
