expand and simplify: (8+w)(2-w) (show work)
8 * 2 = 16
8 * -w = -8w
w * 2 = 2w
w * -w = -w^2
16 - 8w + 2w - w^2
Combine like terms:
-8w + 2w = -6w

The Answer:
16 - 6w - w^2 or
-w^2 - 6w + 16
