You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Given: A rectangular field
Length of the field is 18 m longer than the width (L = W + 18)
Perimeter (P) = 276 m

Determine: The dimensions of the field.

Equation: P = 2*L + 2*W ----> 2*(W + 18) + 2*W ----> 2*w + 36 + 2*W

P = 4*W + 36 = 276 ----> 4*W = 276 - 36 ----> W = 240 / 4 = 60m
W = 60 m

L = W + 18 = 60 + 18 = 78m

Therefore the dimensions of the field are: W = 60 m and L = 78 m
