You can put this solution on YOUR website! solve the linear system:
4x- 2y = 6
x + 3y = 5
Use elimination here, multiply the 1st equation by 3, the 2nd equation by 2:
12x- 6y = 18
2x + 6y = 10
--------------addition eliminates y, find x
14x = 28
x = 28/14
x = 2
:
Use the 2nd equation to find y, replace x with 2
2 + 3y = 5
3y = 5 - 2
3y = 3
y = 3/3
y = 1
:
You can check our solutions in the 1st equation
