we know that two complementary angles, when added, are equal to 90 degrees.
one angle is twice the measure of the other, so this angle is determined in terms of the other angle.
One angle is 2x. The other is x.
2x+x=90
3x=90
x=30
so one angle is 30. the other is 60.
Check:
30(2)=60
60+30=90
