If 5/7 of a room can be painted in 1 hour
then 7 times that, or +7%2A%285%2F7%29+ = 5 rooms
can be painted in 7 hours.

To paint 1 room will take 1/5 of that time, or
7/5 of an hour, and +%287%2F5%29%2A60+=+84+
and +84+-+60+=+24+
So, 1 room can be painted in 1 hour and 24 minutes

(b) At the same rate, how long will it take to paint the entire room?
7 * 12min = 84min or 1.4 hr
