You can put this solution on YOUR website! The complement of an angle is the angle subtracted from 90
The supplement of an angle is the angle subtracted from 180
:
1.) What is the complementary and supplementary of angle x + 10?
c = 90 - (x+10)
c = 90 - x - 10
c = 80 - x is the complement
and
s = 180 - (x+10)
s = 180 - x - 10
x = 170 - x is the supplement

2.) What is the complementary and supplementary of angle 2x + 6?
c = 90 - (2x+6)
c = 90 - 2x - 6
c = 84 - 2x is the complement
and
s = 180 - (2x+6)
