You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Use a graphing calculator to solve the equation -3 cos t = 1 in the interval from 0 to 2p. Round to the nearest hundredth.
-----
cos(t) = -1/3
Take the cos^-1 of both sides to get:
t = cos^-1(-1/3) = 109.47 degrees or 250.53 degrees

press Y= (clear anything in there after any \Y=

Make it read this:

\Y1=-3cos(3x)
\Y2=1

press ZOOM
press 7

That's the graph for -2pi to 2pi
You only want graph for 0 to 2pi

press WINDOW

you see Xmin=-6.152286... change it to read Xmax=0

press GRAPH

see something like this without the numbers:

press 2nd
press TRACE
press 5
Press ENTER three times

at bottom of screen read first answer X=1.9106332

For second answer
