You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The perimeter of a rectangle is found by using the formula: 2L + 2W.
if the perimeter of a rectangle is 66 cm, and the length is twice the width
what is the length?

2L + 2W = 66:
"the length is twice the width"; therefore
L = 2W
replace L with 2W
2(2W) + 2W = 66
4W + 2W = 66
6W = 66
W = 66/6
W = 11 cm
therefore
2(11) = 22 cm is the length
