2%5E%283x%2B5%29=2%5E%283%2A2%29

2%5E%283x%2B5%29=2%5E%286%29

Since the bases are equal (to 2), the exponents are equal. So...

3x%2B5=6

3x=6-5

3x=1

x=1%2F3

So the solution is x=1%2F3
