logarithms are exponents.
If you have +10%5Ex+, then
+x+ is a logarithm to the base +10+

If I say
+1000+=+10%5Ex+
another way to say this is
+x+=+log%2810%2C1000%29+
+x+=+3+
Just remember you have to have some
agreed upon base to have a logarithm
