Question 627786: The member of the student council sold tickets to their annual fund raiser talent show the ticket prices were $8 for adults and $5 for children. If they sold 190 tickets and collected a total of $3110, how many adults tickets did they sell? Answer by reviewermath(1029) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Let x = number of adult tickets
so 190 - x = number of child ticket
8x + 5(190 - x) = 3110
8x - 5x = 3110 - 950
3x = 2160
x = 720
Answer: No possible answer because if x = 720 then 190 - x = -530, the number of child tickets is a negative number.
