well, an equilateral triangle is one in which all sides are the same length, so we can find the height by cutting it in half and finding the hypontenuse, you know, a^2+b^2=c^2
so, it will be 10^2+ 5^2 = c^2
100+25= 125 so lets get the square root of 125, which is 11.18

sooooo, your triangle height will be 11.18 cm

The altitude of an equilateral triangle is the long leg of a 30-60-90 right triangle where the measure of the hypotenuse is the same as the measure of the side of the equilateral triangle. Hence, the altitude measures where is the measure of the side of the equilateral triangle.
