Question 627332: The following values represent your five science test scores for this semester.
80, 83, 91, 92, 94
If your next science test score was 82, how would that affect the mean, median, and mode?
Answer by killer6678(69) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! 80.83,91,92,94
Mean= (add all) / (how many there is)
440/5= 88
Median= the center of the data in order from least to greatest
In this case it is 91
Mode= What number appears most often in a set of data
None
80,82,83,91,92,94
Mean= 522/6= 87
Median= The median is between 83 and 91 so what you do is add them up and divide by 2. 83+91=174 174/2= 87
Mode= None
Therefore the mean decreased by one and the median is decreased by 4 and the there still is no mode.
