2) Diagonal of the square of side a is a%2Asqrt%282%29.
If the diagonal of the square is 16%2Asqrt%282%29 then a=16.
Hence, area of the square is 16%5E2+=+256cm%5E2.

3) Use Pythagoras theorem again, the longer side is 28 cm.
