 the sum is 17.

x%2F2+%2B+%28x%2B1%29%2F5+=+17   |Multiplying thru by 10 so as all denominators = 1

   5x + 2(x+1) = 170

      7x ++2 = 170

          7x = 168

           x = 24, the smalller, the larger consecutive integer is 25
