There are ten vehicles parked in a parking lot. Each is either a car with four tires or a motorcycle with two tires.There are 26 wheels in the lot. How many cars are in the lot?
If all 10 vehicles were motocycles there would be only 20 wheels. 
 Since there are 26 the other 6 must belong to 3 cars.  So there are
3 cars and 7 motorcycles.
