rate = 60 mph ; distance = x miles ; time = d/r = x/60 hrs

From-appointment DATA:
rate = 50 mph ; distance = x miles ; time = x/50 hrs

Equation:
time - time = (1/5) hr.
(x/50) - (x/60) = 1/5 hr
Multiply thru by 300 to get
6x - 5x = 60
x = 60 miles (distance to the appointment)
