You can put this solution on YOUR website!
multiply %28x%2B5%29%5E2
(x+5)(x+5)
x(x+5)+5(x+5)
Distribute the first then second terms in the first parenthesis throught the second parentheses.
x(x)+x(5)+5(x)+5(5)
If you look at this closely you'll see the FOIL, that many students, teachers, and books refer to. You multiply the First terms, Outer terms, Inner terms, then Last terms.
x%5E2%2B5x%2B5x%2B25
Combine like terms.
x%5E2%2B10x%2B25
Happy Calculating and Happy Thanksgiving!!!
