: the second angle of a triangle is two times as large as the first. the third angle is 10 degrees more than the second angle. find the measure of the first angle This question is from textbook basic mathematics
You can put this solution on YOUR website! the second angle of a triangle is two times as large as the first. the third angle is 10 degrees more than the second angle. find the measure of the first angle
Let the first angle be: x
Then the second angle is: 2x
Then the third angle is: 2x+10
If you add the angles of any triangle it equals 180 degrees.
(x)+(2x)+(2x+10)=180
x+2x+2x+10=180
5x+10=180
5x+10-10=180-10
5x=170
5x/5=170/5
x=34
The first angle is: x=34 degrees.
